The big sturgeon species have historically been present in the Danube's upper parts, even as far north as Regensburg (the fish’s silhouette has been traced from a drawing of a sturgeon found in Regensburg archives). The fish could return one day, but the water level can also rise, making the town very hard to live in. This sign is a Schrödinger's cat paradox, showing a possible future and past, the end result depending on innumerable variables, including human existence.

The project is a result of my residency at Donumena AiR program.
